It was a peaceful day outside as the great Holsteiner, Thunder Knight, strolled along at his ease, feeling his long stride loosen his strong spine as he traveled in a relaxed state, his head and neck stretched, not quite to the ground, but in a comfortable frame. The sun sparkled warmly down upon him and and birds trilled sweetly as they flew from tree to tree. Up ahead, the sound of falling water was like music to the ears.
Thunder Knight was not on a mission, he did not have a purpose in his morning walk, he was merely going for his own sanity and pleasure, admiring nature's beauty around him, drinking in the sounds of the fertile land, inhaling the sweet scents, which seemed to give him new life and energy.
At this point, the hill he was slowly climbing began to steepen, and he threw his weight forward slightly, as to haul himself up the hill with more ease. As he extended his neck, he enjoyed a cool breezed as it combed through his short black mane, delighting in the warm sun with briefly kissed his withers and back. He closed his eyes right before the end of his journey and only opened him when he had reached the summit. Looking around him, he exhaled in wonder.
In front of him, there was a glorious silver waterfall, which fell into an aqua pool, which in turn turned into a stream which ran down into a brook which babbled out of site. He moved forward to the edge of the pool, hearing a new sound as his hooves clacked on the rough stone floor around the water and, lowering his proud head, drank from the inviting waters. How could it be that no other stallion had claimed these lands? Were they yet undiscovered? Thunder didn't rightly know, but he knew one thing was for sure. He had been homeless and wandering for a long time and he liked this land a great deal. In fact he liked it so much, that he was going to claim it as his own or at least challenge the stallion who commanded it.
'If anyone dare oppose me, let him show his face." He proclaimed in a carrying voice over the land. There was silence for a moment and he waited with baited breath, but there was no reply...
